- WHO WE ARE
About Us
Peacefront for Development Initiative (PEACEFRONT) is a non-governmental youth development organization established in 2015 to focus on youth poverty, health and sustainable development in Nigeria and across Africa.
Due to the high level of poverty, unemployment, ethnicity and inconsistence in government systems and policies in Africa, it is easy for youth to be manipulated and recruited into criminal gangs, terrorist organizations and factions of war. In addition, priorities and needs of youth has not been significantly reflected in policies and program of several administrations of state, leading to the current disadvantaged condition of the youth population.
We at PEACEFRONT believe though that the welfare is not the sole prerogative of the state, if youth could be consistently considered in policy formulation and decision making, their welfare will improve through skills impartation and empowerment for productivity. This way, a culture of peaceful productive living will be restored.
PEACEFRONT was conceived to serve as a voice and an arm for advocating youth concerns and executing projects that touch the youth population directly. We seek to increase the attention and impact of leaders, international organizations and governments on the needs and sufferings of targeted vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in order to assuage their suffering and bring about sustainable development.
VISION
Ours is a peaceful society where productive, self-reliant, motivated and patriotic peace-loving youth are part of leadership and development.
MISSION
Is to empower youth to face and address their social, economic and political challenges through empowerment interventions (human capital development) advocacy and the promotion of peace and solidarity.
